With support from the Government of Japan, UNDP Thailand is implementing school tsunami preparedness programmes in 18 Asia-Pacific countries. In Thailand, five tsunami prone schools in Phang Nga province have been selected to participate in evacuation drills. There were at least 1,731 participants including students and primary school teachers. December 26, marks 15 years since the Indian Ocean tsunami struck, UNDP is committed to build resilient communities everywhere in Thailand.
