ชุมชนบ้านห้วยหินลาดใน เป็นชุมชนของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ปกาเกอญอ ที่ทำหน้าที่ดูแลรักษาผืนป่าจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น ผ่านพิธีกรรม ความเชื่อ และคำสั่งสอนที่สืบทอดกันมาอย่างยาวนาน โดยในอดีต ชุมชนบ้านห้วยหินลาดใน อุดมสมบูรณ์ไปด้วยป่าไม้ สัตว์ป่า และพืชพันธุ์ธัญญาหารต่างๆ แต่ในปัจจุบัน ชาวบ้านที่นี่กำลังเผชิญปัญหาต่างๆ มากมาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นป่าไม้ที่ลดลง สัตว์ป่าและพันธุ์ปลาต่างๆสูญพันธุ์ ผลผลิตที่ออกไม่ตรงตามฤดูกาล รวมไปถึงสภาพภูมิอากาศที่เปลี่ยนแปลง ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อวิถีชีวิตและการดำรงชีพ อย่างไรก็ตาม ชาวบ้านยังคงช่วยกันปกป้องดูแลรักษาผืนป่าต่อไป ตามคำสอนที่ยังคงสืบทอดกันจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น “ ‘ออที เกอะ ตอกี ออก่อ เกอะ ตอก่อ’ ได้กินจากน้ำต้องรักษาน้ำ ได้กินจากป่าต้องรักษาป่า’’
Ban Huai Hin Lad Nai, Chiang Rai province in Northern Thailand is a community of the S’gaw Karen ethnic group that is responsible for preserving and protecting the forest from generation to generation through rituals, beliefs, and teachings that have been passed down for a long time. In the past, the community was abundant with forests, wildlife, and various plant species. However, at present, the villagers here are facing numerous challenges, such as deforestation, the extinction of wildlife, inconsistent agricultural yields, and changing climatic conditions, which have impacted their way of life and livelihood. Nevertheless, the villagers continue to work together to protect and preserve the forest, following the teachings that have been handed down from generation to generation "Drink from the river, protect the river. Eat from the forest, protect the forest.”

อิสรีย์ อรุณประเสริฐ Issaree Arunprasert
Issaree is a producer and art director. She studied film production at Vancouver Film School, and film and digital media at KMITL, Thailand. In Vancouver and in Thailand, Issaree had opportunities to work on many shorts, music videos, documentaries, and TV commercials. Her latest short documentary CORDILLERA SONGS won the Jury Prize (Documentary) at CCCL Film Festival 2024. Issaree is also a photographer. She loves telling stories with a series of photographs. Photography has taught her creativity, imagination, flexibility and patience, and given her the artistic foundation for her film career. Currently, Issaree lives in Bangkok, Thailand and works as a producer, director, art director, and writer.
อิสรีย์ อรุณประเสริฐ จบการศึกษาจาก สาขาภาพยนตร์และดิจิทัล มีเดีย คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง หลังจากเรียนจบได้ไปศึกษาต่ออนุปริญญา สาขา Producing และ Production Design ด้าน Film Production ที่ Vancouver Film School (VFS) ประเทศแคนาดา ปัจจุบันย้ายกลับมาไทยได้ประมาณ 5 ปี ทำงานในฐานะโปรดิวเซอร์ ผู้กำกับ ผู้กำกับศิลป์ และคนเขียนบท
ผลงานที่ผ่านมาของอิสรีย์ได้รับคัดเลือกเข้าฉายในเทศกาลภาพยนตร์และได้รับรางวัลทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ ได้แก่ คนหลังเขา (CORDILLERA SONGS) ได้รางวัล Jury Award ในสาขาภาพยนตร์สารคดีในเทศกาล CCCL Film Festival 2024 ซึ่งเป็นโปรเจ็คที่ได้ทำร่วมกับเพื่อนๆ จากเวิร์คชอปของ Chiang Rai Film Club, LIFE CYCLE ยังได้รางวัล Audience Award ในสาขาภาพยนตร์สารคดี จาก CCCL Film Festival 2022 นอกจากนี้ หนังสั้นไฟนอลโปรเจกต์จาก VFS ยังได้รับรางวัลจากเทศกาลภาพยนตร์อีกมากมาย เช่น Best Student Film จาก Creation International Film Festival 2018, Best LGBTQ Film and Best Directo จาก Oniros Film Awards 2018, Best LGBT Film and Best Student Actress จาก European Cinematography AWARDS (ECA) 2018 และได้ Official Selection ฉายในเทศกาล Vancouver Queer Film Festival 2019 (Local Short Program)
